Shipping Policy

At Box of India, we aim to deliver your orders across Australia as quickly and reliably as possible. Delivery timelines and charges depend on your location and the delivery method used.
Customers often choose to add a few extra items to their cart to reach the free delivery threshold, making their delivery more economical. All prices below are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
Sydney
Sydney Metro — Van Delivery
We deliver through our own van network across Sydney metropolitan postcodes. Sydney is the only region where we deliver fresh, frozen, and dry products together in one order.
Order Processing & Delivery Schedule
- Orders placed before 1 PM (any day of the week) are processed the same day and delivered the next day.
- Orders placed after 1 PM are processed the next day and delivered the day after.
- Orders placed on public holidays are processed on the next available processing day.
- If any changes are made to your order, our team dispatches it only after receiving your confirmation. The delivery timeline will adjust accordingly.
Sydney Metro Delivery Charges (standard box: 14 kg)
- Free delivery on orders over $79 for shipments up to 14 kg.
- Under $79, up to 14 kg: $8.79
- Under $79, 14–28 kg: $14.29
- Under $79, 28–42 kg: $17.59
- Under $79, 42 kg and above: $21.99
- Over $79, weight surcharge for 14–28 kg: $5.49
- Over $79, weight surcharge for 28–42 kg: $10.99
- Over $79, weight surcharge for 42 kg and above: $16.49
Sydney Wider Areas — Aramex Courier (Dry products only)
For postcodes outside our metro van network, we ship dry products via Aramex. Fresh and frozen products are not available for these areas.
Standard box: 20 kg. No free delivery threshold. Pricing varies by destination area:
- Central Coast: $20.82 per 20 kg box
- Wollongong: $20.82 per 20 kg box
- Albury: $26.03 per 20 kg box
- Canberra: $36.44 per 20 kg box
- Orange: $53.35 per 20 kg box
- Young: $58.56 per 20 kg box
Each additional 20 kg box is charged at the same per-area rate. Fuel levy is included in the rates above and reviewed monthly.
Newcastle
Newcastle orders are shipped via Aramex courier from our Newcastle fulfilment centre. We currently deliver dry products only in Newcastle — fresh and frozen products are not yet available.
Order Processing
- Orders are processed Monday to Friday.
- Orders placed before 10 AM (Mon–Fri) are dispatched the same day.
- Orders placed after 10 AM, or anytime on Saturday, Sunday, or public holidays, are dispatched on the next working day.
- If any changes are made to your order, our team dispatches it only after receiving your confirmation. The delivery timeline will adjust accordingly.
Delivery
Delivery typically takes 1–3 working days after dispatch, depending on Aramex’s network performance and regional routes. Rural areas may take longer.
Newcastle Metro Delivery Charges (standard box: 12 kg)
- Free delivery on orders over $79 for shipments up to 12 kg.
- Under $79, up to 12 kg: $8.79
- Under $79, 12–24 kg: $14.29
- Under $79, 24–36 kg: $17.59
- Under $79, 36 kg and above: $21.99
- Over $79, weight surcharge for 12–24 kg: $5.49
- Over $79, weight surcharge for 24–36 kg: $10.99

Newcastle Wider Areas — Aramex Courier

- Northern Rivers: $35.14 per 20 kg box
- Port Macquarie: $37.74 per 20 kg box
Each additional 20 kg box is charged at the same per-area rate.
Melbourne
Melbourne orders are shipped via Aramex courier from our Melbourne fulfilment centre. We currently deliver dry products only in Melbourne — fresh and frozen products are not yet available.

- Free delivery on orders over $79 for shipments up to 12 kg.
- Under $79, up to 12 kg: $8.79
- Under $79, 12–24 kg: $14.29
- Under $79, 24–36 kg: $17.59

Melbourne Wider Areas — Aramex Courier
From Melbourne, we ship to wider areas across Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and Western Australia via Aramex.
Standard box: 20 kg. No free delivery threshold.
- Geelong (VIC): $19.52 per 20 kg box
- Bendigo (VIC): $32.53 per 20 kg box
- Adelaide (SA): $29.93 per 20 kg box
- Launceston (TAS): $67.67 per 20 kg box
- Devonport (TAS): $67.67 per 20 kg box
- Hobart (TAS): $68.97 per 20 kg box
- Perth (WA): $114.51 per 20 kg box
Each additional 20 kg box is charged at the same per-area rate. Fuel levy is included in the rates above and reviewed monthly.
Fresh & Frozen Items
Fresh and frozen products are currently only available in Sydney metro postcodes served by our van delivery network. They are not available for:
- Sydney wider areas (Central Coast, Wollongong, Albury, Canberra, Orange, Young)
- Newcastle (any postcode)
- Melbourne (any postcode)
- Any wider Aramex courier destination
If you try to add fresh or frozen products to a cart with a non-eligible delivery postcode, checkout will be blocked with a message asking you to remove these items to continue.
Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details.
- Sydney van deliveries: tracking updates are shared by email.
- Aramex courier deliveries: tracking links are shared by email and can be used to track your parcel on Aramex’s website.
If you have not received a tracking email within 1 working day of your expected dispatch date, please contact our support team.
Delay in Order Processing
If changes are made to your order after confirmation, including product adjustments, address updates, or delivery instructions, the order may need to be reprocessed, which may impact the delivery timeline.
If your delivery is delayed, our support team will always do their best to assist and resolve the issue quickly.
Lost or Damaged Orders
We take great care in packing your order, but in rare cases issues may occur during transit. Nothing below limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If your order is damaged:
- Please contact our support team within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damaged items and packaging.
- We will review each case and arrange a replacement, refund, or store credit as appropriate. Please see our Refund Policy for details.
If your order is marked as delivered but not received:
- Please check with household members, neighbours, and any safe drop locations first.
- If your order still cannot be located, contact our support team within 48 hours of the tracking status showing “Delivered.”
- We will investigate with Aramex or the delivery driver and work with you to resolve the issue.
